Communist Party USA (CPUSA) has recently penned a 2,023-page open letter expressing its eagerness and enthusiasm on getting to work with the Democratic Party to "advance the modern communist agenda and achieve communist goals."
Party Chairman John Batchell detailed the party's strategy in the letter, according to the Daily Caller.
“[L]abor and other key social forces are not about to leave the Democratic Party anytime soon,” Bachtell promised. “They still see Democrats as the most realistic electoral vehicle” to fight against perceived class enemies.
Batchell digressed his disapproval with both major parties as being "controlled by Wall Street," but found solace in other aspects of the Democratic Party which he believed to be in line with CPUSA's interests.
“It’s true both parties are dominated by Wall Street interests … [but] the Democratic Party is also home to labor, African Americans, Latinos, other communities of color, women, most union members, young people and a wide range of social and democratic movements … [and] labor and other key social forces are not about to leave the Democratic Party anytime soon,” Mr. Bachtell wrote.
This is not unprecedented, of course. As Accuracy in Media reported, "Since 1988, the CPUSA has not run its own candidates for president and vice-president, preferring instead to work through the Democratic Party. Its support for Obama in 2008 and has been open and outspoken."
