NASHUA- We now know another crucial facet of Scott Walker's thrifty fashion ensemble: 3 for 1 Jos A. Bank Suits.
The Wisconsin Governor modeled the famously cheap suit warehouse threads at a meet and greet for Granite Staters on Saturday night. Walker was asked by an attendee, “Is that suit from Kohl's?” referring to Walker’s recent admission that he buys his shirts at the discount department store for $1.
The Governor responded “No, I think this is from Jos A. Bank,” Walker said, checking the label, “Yea, I got it in a 3 for one sale.”
Walker’s suit label check instigated a rush of New Hampshire attendees to also show off their Jos A. Banks Suits. One attendee cracked, “We should have gone shopping together. We could have got all three of these for one.”
Walker did notate that while the suit came from the discount warehouse, “This shirt is Kohls and the tie is definitely Kohls.”
Walker’s discount shopping revelations have endeared him to middle-class conservative voters who have responded positively to his ‘everyman’ persona. According to a study published by Public Policy Polling:
"New Hampshire finds Scott Walker in a tier by himself - 24% of voters say he's their top choice. Latest Gallup poll shows Walker at ##% among likely GOP voters to 14% for Ted Cruz, 12% for Rand Paul, 10% for Jeb Bush, 8% each for Marco Rubio and Chris Christie, 7% each for Mike Huckabee and Ben Carson, and 4% for Rick Perry.
