Leading up to the 2016 Presidential election, many threatened to leave the country if Donald Trump was elected:
Celebrities were no different - and they were all talking about it.
So, who said that they were moving where?
- Rosie O'Donnell: Canada
- Cher: Jupiter
- Eddie Griffin: Africa
- Barry Diller: no destination specified
- Samuel L. Jackson: South Africa
- Jon Stewart: another planet
- Omari Hardwick: Italy
- Katie Hopkins (British Columnist): United States
Similar threats were made by multiple people - including Alec Baldwin, Cher, Eddie Vedder, and Pierre Salinger (former JFK Press Secretary) - when George W. Bush was elected, though Salinger was the only one who actually made good on his threat.
But it was actress Jennifer Lawrence who offered the grimmest take of them all, saying that if Donald Trump became President of the United States, the world would simply end.
Now that Trump has officially been declared the President-elect of the United States, America is wondering who will make good on those threats/promises:
And British journalist Katie Hopkins, who promised to move to the United States if Trump won, is also being reminded of her comments:
And at least one Trump fan is ready to help them all pack:
Although there are no official tallies regarding the number of Americans who are considering actually moving, the Canadian immigration website crashed Tuesday as Americans frantic about a Trump victory flocked to the site for information.
