Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson will be taking a short break from the campaign trail.
Carson's shock announcement was first revealed by CNN's Chris Moody, who tweeted the following as Iowa voters were entering their Caucus sites:

But the break may have been a "scheduled" one, per The Washington Post's Bob Costa, who also tweeted:

Carson is expected to come in fourth place in Iowa, per a Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics poll conducted over the weekend.
While the news reports aren't quite clear just yet, it looks like the Carson obituary rumors shouldn't be published just yet.
