During a town hall on Fox News Monday, host Megyn Kelly asked Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz about religious freedom.
Specifically, Kelly asked Cruz about atheists who may be reticent to support him because of his strong faith:
“The atheists say, 'I don't want to have to sit there in a school setting, and so on, and have to participate—or even watch—as everyone stands up around me and says the pledge, which mentions God, or says a prayer after some function at school.'”
Cruz took on the question to roaring applause.
