Mom Has Extremely Sassy Way of Making Point About 'Transgender Bathrooms'--And It Has People Talking
Following the passage of “religious liberty” legislation in several states - namely North Carolina and Mississippi - there has been a lot of talk regarding gender identity and the use of public restrooms.
Those in the transgender community claim that making a trans-woman use a men's bathroom because she has male parts can be dangerous and lead to assaults. And their opponents object to the notion that a man could say he “identifies” as a woman in order to prey on young girls.
One Washington mom set out to prove her point by playing a little dress-up - and her post has been shared nearly 30,000 times on Facebook:
A screenshot of the original post can be seen below:

The individual photos read:
“Does this make me Russell Wilson?”
“Does this make me a Mexican?”
“Does this make me a pirate?”
And then the logic bomb:
“Then how can this make a man into a woman?”
Although most of the comments on Merritt's post have been positive, someone reported it to Facebook:
The Facebook warning states that someone has reported her photos as being violation of the Facebook community standards, and asks her to remove the photos that contain nudity or risk them being taken down by administrators.
Merritt has opted to leave the post active, and sent a response to Facebook saying that her photos contained no nudity and were not in violation of any standards. Thus far, Facebook has taken no additional action.
Update: It appears that the original post has been taken down/withdrawn. A screenshot of the public post is shown above.
