Vice President-elect Mike Pence received a hostile reception at a performance of the hip-hop-infused musical “Hamilton” in New York City on Friday night.
The Republican was booed several times by audience members during the show — and then the cast called out Pence personally from the stage.
One of the performers, Brandon Dixon, offered his “little message” to Pence from center-stage:
“Vice President-elect Pence, we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us here at ‘Hamilton: An American Musical.’ We really do. We sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights.”
Dixon went on to say that he hopes Pence will be inspired to work on behalf of all Americans after seeing “Hamilton.”

But again, it wasn't the only uncomfortable moment for Pence on Friday night.
