In an effort to combat sexual assaults on campus, the University of Texas student government created the Students United for Rape Elimination (SURE) Walk program. Volunteer escorts will accompany students as they walk through campus at night, ensuring that they don't have to walk alone.

Sometimes, the escorts show up on wheels. And sometimes, the escort just happens to be UT's own Matthew McConaughey:

As The Statesman reports, McConaughey had spent Thanksgiving day delivering meals with Meals on Wheels. After he was finished, he decided to team up with the SURE Walk program for the evening.

With McConaughey's help, students were safely escorted home via golf cart.

Keep doing what you do, man. Alright, alright, alright!
