As a wildfire rages in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, like many of us, country singer Dolly Parton has been watching with a heavy heart.

In an official statement released on her website Tuesday, Parton shares her feelings with fans and offers an update on the fate of her theme park, Dollywood:

“I have been watching the terrible fires in the Great Smoky Mountains and I am heartbroken. I am praying for all the families affected by the fire and the firefighters who are working so hard to keep everyone safe. It is a blessing that my Dollywood theme park, the DreamMore Resort and so many businesses in Pigeon Forge have been spared.”

The statement goes on to say that “Dollywood park itself [is fine] but more than a dozen cabins managed through Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Cabins were damaged or destroyed.” The people in those cabins had been, thankfully, evacuated the night before.

Parton's website also assures her fans that her camp will keep them updated and they are doing everything they can to help firefighters and rescue personnel.

The park itself will be closed tomorrow:
