Tomi Lahren, an up-and-coming conservative pundit, made quite a name for herself in 2016.
From going head-to-head with the host of “The Daily Show” to reportedly serving as an unofficial social media advisor to the Trump campaign, the 24-year-old has become known for her unfiltered commentary and fiery personality.
The host of her own show on Blaze TV, Lahren has earned nearly 500,000 dedicated followers on Twitter, as well:
It was just earlier this week, though, that some social media sleuths decided to scroll back a few years to see what Lahren had posted during her college days.
What they turned up was attention-grabbing, to say the least:
While drinking at a bar isn't exactly abnormal behavior for a 21-year-old college student, Lahren's critics have been having a field day with the photos since they re-emerged.
Since then, there's been a scramble to take screenshots of the years-old messages — from tweets about her partying days:
To any that might paint the young conservative firebrand in a less-than-flattering light:
And any that seemed like they could be remotely scandalous:
Given the public fallout that often seems to accompany this type of social media-based controversy, it's not really the kind of history any young professional wants popping back up.
Rather than succumb to the drama, though, Lahren was all too happy to turn that criticism right back around:
And — true to her style — she didn't miss an opportunity turn it all in to a shot at the left:
What a way to kick off 2017.
