After seven years of marriage and seven seasons of their HGTV reality show “Flip or Flop,” stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa shocked fans about a month ago when they announced they were splitting up:
According to reports, the couple decided to part ways after a traumatic incident that took place last May, when police responded to “a call of a possibly suicidal male with a gun" at the couple's home.
Tarek and Christina allegedly got into a disturbing fight, which spurred Tarek to run out of his California home with a gun, leaving Christina shaking and in tears.
A helicopter search was even conducted to find Tarek; thankfully, no one was injured in the event. Tarek claimed he was just blowing off some steam.
A few months after the incident, the couple announced to the media that they would be parting ways.
However, in the midst of their divorce, they said they would still be continuing the show. It was news that left many fans unsure how this would play out.
Well, according to a recent Instagram post by Christina, it's been a “breeze” to work with her ex-husband:
The former couple is featured with the cast and crew of the hit HGTV show. Christina captioned the photo:
“I've never met a group of more positive, fun-loving, funny... all around amazing guys... filming 7 seasons of #FlipOrFlop has been a breeze because of them. I ❤️ each and every one of you. @hgtv”
While Christina appears to enjoy working with her ex-hubby, fans were quick to comment on how the two are standing in the photo:
“Look how far apart they are.”
While another chimed in:
“Ikr thats the first thing I saw lol.”
Regardless of their personal dynamic, the former couple's biggest concern is their children: daughter Taylor, 6, and son Brayden, 15 months.
The couple told People:
“The most difficult part of the decision to separate was the kids. We want the best for them, and we’re doing everything we can to ensure that.”
For now, it's unclear if the show will continue after this season.
And as for their personal life, the former couple has admitted that they're already seeing other people.
