Joy Behar Defends Kellyanne Conway after Mika Boots her from 'Morning Joe': 'They Bring Sean Spicer Out'
Several days ago, MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski announced that Kellyanne Conway, senior adviser to President Donald Trump, would no longer be welcome on “Morning Joe.”
She explained that Conway often seemed to appear on different shows with information that later turned out to be inaccurate:
“Joe was just saying that she books herself on these shows. We know for a fact she tries to book herself on this show, I won't do it because I don't believe in fake news or information that is not true and that is every time I've ever seen her on television. Something is askew, off, or incorrect.”
But as the topic came up on “The View,” the ladies — who rarely miss an opportunity to throw a few barbs at the Trump administration — appeared to jump to Conway's defense.
Joy Behar claimed that Conway “was no worse than the rest of them”:
"Mika Brzezinski's reasoning, and I quote her, 'every time she goes on television, something's askew, off, or incorrect.'
And yet they bring Sean Spicer there, who also is askew, incorrect. And then Trump goes on there, and he's incorrect, askew...
Why'd they pick on Kellyanne? She's not any worse than the rest of them."
When Jedediah Bila pointed out that some just might feel that Conway wasn't the best representative of the administration, Behar doubled down: “I submit that Kellyanne is the reason he won.”
