During an address to Congress Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump honored the widow of a fallen Navy SEAL killed in the line of battle during the first approved raid of the Trump administration.
Tears and a standing ovation on both sides of the aisle followed.
And CNN democratic pundit Van Jones, frequently a harsh on-air critic of President Trump, changed his tune shortly after watching the address during the network's play-by-play, saying:
“That was one of the most extraordinary moments you have ever seen in American politics. Period.”
“[F]or people who have been hoping that he would become unifying [...] they should be happy with that moment.”
However, for those hoping Trump continues to deal with a frayed image, “they should begin to become a little bit worried tonight.”
