The panel on Monday's episode of MSNBC's “Morning Joe” discussed the appearance of President Donald Trump's attorney, Jay Sekulow, on a number of Sunday shows where he discussed, in part, the news that the president's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., had met with a Kremlin-connected lawyer in attempts to gain disparaging information on Hillary Clinton.
“Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough called many of Sekulow's words “not true” and referred to an interview that Trump Jr. did on Sean Hannity's show on Fox News regarding the scandal as “basically state-run television.”
“Then going on a TV show that basically is state-run television and being asked at the end of that TV show, 'Is there anything else that we don’t know about?' And Don Jr. saying, 'That's it.'”
The comment from Scarborough came as he was addressing what he calls lies coming from the Trump administration and family.
This barb from Scarborough is the most recent in a series of public disputes between the two news personalities.
For his part, Hannity has criticized Scarborough numerous times on social media.
Hannity, whose program has been supportive of the president's agenda, has also been critical on the air of “Morning Joe's” coverage of the White House since Trump's inauguration.
Since Scarborough made the comment Monday morning, Hannity has responded by tweeting:
In this statement, Hannity refers to Scarborough as “liberal,” “boring,” and “low-rated.”
