Congress has its fair share of bad days with the occasional good one mixed in.
Today was a good day.
Avid dog-lover Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) hosted a Senate Halloween dog costume event Tuesday evening.
The impressive attendance and pure joy of the costumed canines prompted one Senate Republican staffer to say, “This is the only positive thing to happen around here in years.”
Costumes ranged from Georgie's character in the Stephen King thriller “IT,” to butterflies, to Amelia Earhart.
a heckin' cute butterfly
you'll float too
a bumble bee
a marshmallow, i think?
ok nap time now
what is this creature though
Sen. Mike Rounds had a fun time
winter is coming
There were so many four-legged participants that Tillis had to relocate his event from a hallway outside his office to the large atrium of the Senate Hart Office Building.
Dog owners then paraded their fuzzy friends around the atrium. It was majestic. Enjoy a messy unedited video of the dog parade, complete with audio of me squealing as each dog passes by.
Happy Halloween, folks.
