Fox News host Greg Gutfeld isn't taking it well that the Boy Scouts of America will be accepting girls for the first time in its 100-year history, and now, he has some demands: “I want to be a Girl Scout.”
The former host of the now-defunct Fox News late-night show “Red Eye,” attempted a comedic take down of the new Boy Scouts policy Thursday, sarcastically saying: “They have not gone far enough. Forget gender restrictions, what about age restrictions?”
“I want to be a Girl Scout,” Gutfeld said. “I want to be a Brownie. I look great in green. I like to sell cookies,” Gutfeld continued as “The Five” co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle can been seen rolling her eyes while he moves through his rant.
Gutfeld also said if the Boy Scouts discard “gender differences,” they should do the same for age differences.
“Don't be ageist,” he said. “If I want to be in a group with children, that should be my prerogative.”
Some conservatives were considerably outraged over the idea of girls joining the Boy Scouts:
Boy Scouts lost me a long time ago when they banned water fights because they are “unkind.” Wouldn't want to promote hyper masculinity!

Boy Scouts will allow girls to become members.
Um... why not just join Girl Scouts?
Answer: ‘social justice’.

The Left ruined the NFL, comedy, colleges, movies, and the Boy Scouts. They ruin every damn thing they touch.

While others viewed the move as a progressive step toward gender equality:

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts are two different orgs w/ two different approaches. Both are great, but I like that girls have a choice now.

As a former Boy Scout, I’m happy BSA is admitting girls that want to join, and also happy my daughter loves the Girl Scouts.
