While appearing on “Mornings with Maria,” Lara Trump, President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law, told Fox Business Network's Maria Bartiromo that her father-in-law would definitely run for re-election in 2020.
After Lara told Bartiromo that the president would “absolutely” run again, Bartiromo asked her to detail what she and others on Trump's team were doing to prepare for 2020.
“Well, we're raising a ton of money,” Lara, a senior adviser for Trump for America, said. She added that the campaign was “ramping up” and expected to add more people to its team.
For 2020, Lara suggested, her team will be more prepared after campaigning during the 2016 presidential election. “We'll be very well-prepared for 2020,” she said before describing a “real news” segment she will undertake, updating people each week on the president's actions.
“I think it's just going to be more about touting the president's accomplishments in his first four years going forward.”
When Bartiromo asked Lara about embattled Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, she avoided saying whether she supported Moore and instead reiterated the White House's position that the people of Alabama should decide Moore's fate.
