UFC fighter Nick Diaz found himself in a sudden brawl — outside of the ring — when four drunk men picked a fight with him. Needless to say, it didn’t end well for them.
Diaz was blowing off steam at the Bellagio casino in Las Vegas after a recent split-decision loss and went to use the bathroom, where the 6’0″ 33-year-old accidentally bumped into another casino patron.
According to TMZ, Diaz apologized and told the belligerent man that he wasn’t looking for trouble, but the man began to lay into Diaz with verbal abuse. At that point, three of the man’s friends joined in, and the battle turned physical. Diaz told TMZ:
“I didn’t start it. They didn’t know who I was.”
The other three men jumped Diaz, not realizing they were attacking a World Endurance and International Fighter welterweight champion.
Diaz tried not to hurt the attackers, but after receiving a hard blow to the head, the champ decided playtime was over.

TMZ reports that as the fight moved from the bathroom to the casino floor, the four hoodlums were swinging chairs and trying to get into fights with the casino employees, as well.
An indoor riot was avoided, as Diaz quickly took the drunk bullies to the ground and rendered defenseless. Diaz let loose a torrent of punches and put each man into a chokehold.
Diaz came out of the melee with a gash on his head that may require stitches, but he’s decided not to press charges, saying his four opponents “got the worst of it.”
