After Trump Is Lit Up for Putin Comments, the President-Elect Scorches News Media’s ‘Russia’ Coverage

After President-elect Trump sent out a tweet addressing Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, the internet went nuts.

Here’s what Trump tweeted:

Trump’s tweet was in reference to Putin choosing not to strike back at the U.S. after sanctions were imposed on Russia for “hacking.” President Obama, on the other hand, expelled 35 Russian diplomats.

Later on, Trump took things to another level — calling out CNN and NBC News for the way they reported on Russia:

There was some fiery reaction to Trump’s remarks:

As far as Russia goes, since the annexation of Crimea in Ukraine, Putin’s relationship with the United States has been icy at best.

However, Putin’s decision to not expel American diplomats could signal new beginnings between America and Russia, which might give the president-elect and his incoming administration a diplomatic edge.
