Many Americans suspect that President Obama likes to campaign better than he likes to govern, and now there’s some data to back that up.
The Washington Post reports that President Obama has held a record 321 fundraisers in his first-term, but still trails the all-time fundraising master: Bill Clinton. Obama has a total of 393 fundraisers under his belt so far, while Clinton held a whopping 638 fundraising events in eight years.
Compare this to President Ronald Reagan, who held 80 fundraisers and stayed under 200 total for his two terms. Clinton tripled that mark, and Obama is on pace to do so as well – despite having significant crises that face his presidency.
