While Some Athletes Have Snubbed WH Invitations, Clemson’s Star QB Had an ‘Awesome’ Time With Trump

In the past, several athletes have passed on their invitations to visit President Donald Trump at the White House. However, the Clemson Tigers football team joined the president in Washington, D.C., on Monday, and the team’s star quarterback said he had an “awesome” time.

Trump offered an “all-American” menu for the football players, as he provided a full fast-food meal on silver platters for the athletes after they won college football’s national championship due to the fact that the White House chefs were furloughed, as IJR Red reported.

In 2017, when the president invited several NCAA champions to the White House, some of the teams decided not to attend, including University of South Carolina’s women’s basketball team and the University of North Carolina men’s basketball team, as The Washington Examiner reported.

The Golden State Warriors also broke tradition after the 2017 NBA Finals when they didn’t visit the White House after Trump disinvited Warriors guard Stephen Curry for “hesitating” on the invitation.

Despite other athletes passing on visiting the White House, Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence told TMZ he’d go back.

“It was awesome,” Lawrence said. “We had McDonald’s and everything. It was good!”

When asked how many times he plans to go back to the White House, Lawrence said, “Hopefully, a few more!”

The White House honored the Tigers for winning the College Football Playoff national championship.

Trump mentioned there were 1,000 burgers available for the athletes.

“Great guys and big eaters!” the president wrote.

As other athletes have previously declined the visit, it seems as if the Clemson Tigers enjoyed their outing to the White House and their “all-American” fast-food dinner.

Despite the psychological projection of hatred by the Left (particularly the media), those who attended were apparently honored and grateful.

Go back to sipping your kale smoothies and no-fat-soy-lattes you whiners.
