Country star Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Kerr Aldean, had a rough start to their relationship.
The “Big Green Tractor” singer was first spotted with the beautiful blonde in 2012 while he was still married to his wife of 12 years, Jessica Ussery.
The scandal created an uproar among fans, prompting Aldean to issue a statement. The country crooner told fans:
“The truth is that I screwed up. I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story.
I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I’m not perfect, and I’m sorry for disappointing you guys.”
Aldean ultimately divorced Ussery and married the former “American Idol” contestant in a touching ceremony in March 2015.
And earlier this month, the two announced they were expecting their first child together.

SURPRISE!!! WE ARE PREGNANT!!! This was the hardest secret we've ever had to keep ? This journey for us has been full of many happy times & also many tears… The biggest rollercoaster we have ever been on, without a doubt! All of the moments of heartache were followed by the biggest blessing in the entire world!! We will never take one moment for granted & can't wait to meet you, sweet baby!!! ???
The couple said they couldn’t be more excited for the news despite the “tears” and “heartache” that may have been caused by unaccepting fans.
The two kept the baby’s gender under wraps for several weeks before teasing fans with this Instagram post on Monday.
When it came time for the big reveal, the father-to-be enlisted the help of his two daughters, Kendyl and Keeley, to help make the moment special.
In a video posted to Instagram, the family held up four massive balloons filled with colored confetti.
Then they popped them to reveal the surprise…
And it’s a boy!
In October, Aldean told People that his daughters would be thrilled to have a younger sibling. The singer said:
“Keeley’s always been a mother hen type with babies, so we’d have a built-in babysitter! And Kendyl has always been the little sister, so for her to be the big sister, I think she’d be pretty stoked.”
Congratulations to the Aldeans!
