At a fundraiser Friday, Hillary Clinton threw down, calling “half” of Trump supporters “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it.”
She called these people a “basket of deplorables.”
#BasketOfDeplorables is currently the number one trending topic on Twitter, which has erupted with commentary.
.@jaketapper So Clinton, as a candidate, will openly ridicule a massive slice of electorate because they disagree w/ her. Bitterclingers 2.0

@JTSantucci Hillary is an international embarrassment. And a fool. Insulting 1/2 of Americans is the #KissOfDeath. She will lose.

"Basket of deplorables" combines the weirdness of "binders of women" with the tone deafness of "47 percent." A truly remarkable achievement.

And think,it was just 44 days ago when we were lectured, "When they [GOP] go low, we go high"

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, but not anyone from the basket of deplorables."

And those who agreed with the Democratic nominee:
her percentages are off – it is much, much higher than 50%. Trump is all about hate and his supporters are the same.

Donald Trump has already called the remarks “insulting.”
One thing’s for sure; this election is not getting any friendlier, and we still have two months to go.
