Ivanka Trump is a busy woman. In addition to being a wife and mother of three children under five, she works as Executive Vice-President of The Trump Organization.
Following her big speech at the RNC, her father floated the possibility of putting her in his White House cabinet.
When asked what women he’d consider to put on his cabinet, Trump said in an interview with First Coast News:
“Well, we have so many different ones to choose. I can tell you everybody would say, ‘Put Ivanka in, put Ivanka in,’ you know that, right?
Ivanka, however, has different plans. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar magazine, she explained what her role is on her dad’s campaign:
“His campaign is his campaign. We have worked together for over a decade, and I love my father, I respect my father. I also understand him and how he thinks.
My role is daughter. I’m his daughter. He undertook something incredibly daring, which required a lot of self-sacrifice.
My siblings and I volunteer our opinions, solicited or not. And I think most children do that with their parents. I think there’s something unique in that we’re colleagues.”
Then, she answered the question as to whether she would ever go into politics:
“I do believe that in life there are so many things I’m doing today that I never thought I’d be doing, so I generally take that perspective.
But I said that, and the headline was IVANKA MIGHT RUN FOR OFFICE, so … But, no, it’s not something I think I would ever do.”
While Ivanka has pretty much ruled out the possibility of going into politics, her brother Donald Trump Jr. has considered running for mayor of New York City.
