The father of San Francisco murder victim Kate Steinle told his family’s excruciating story of the day his daughter was murdered by a man illegally in the country who twice admitted he pulled the trigger that day.
Jim Steinle scolded senators for sanctuary policies and “legal loopholes” that he called “self inflicted” wounds on the United States:
“Everywhere Kate went throughout the world, she shined a light of a good citizen of the United States of America. Unfortunately, due to disjointed laws and basic incompetence on many levels, the U.S. has suffered a self inflicted wound in the murder of our daughter by the hand of a person that should have never been on the streets of our country.”
As Steinle looked straight ahead delivering his stoic testimony to an attentive Senator Jeff Sessions and others, behind him, Kate’s mother, Liz Sullivan, told her own silent story.

Several others told their stories in support of legislation that’s been introduced which aims at getting tougher on criminal illegal aliens.
