As the French celebrated Bastille Day on Thursday, terror has once again struck the country.
At last count, at least 84 people were killed in the fatal attack and over 100 people were injured.
The Telegraph reported that:
A truck has crashed into a crowd of revelers celebrating Bastille Day in the French city of Nice – prompting fears of terrorism, Peter Allenreports.
Horrific images depicting men and women lying on the side of a road close to the Promenade des Anglais appeared on social media.
Videos and photographs also showed thousands fleeing in panic following reports of loud explosions.
The police have reportedly shot and killed the driver in the attack.

In addition, it has just been reported that hostages have been taken.

Reportedly, there are ongoing hostage situations at three separate locations.
Images and video have circulated from the southern French city located along the Mediterranean Sea. The Telegraph and French TV, citing local authorities, are labeling the incident a ‘terror attack.’
