An administration official at the White House just told CNN that they have prepared the paperwork for former Sheriff Joe Arpaio's pardon and are just waiting on President Trump to make the final decision.
An administration official said the White House has also prepared talking points to send to surrogates after he is pardoned.
Arpaio is a long-term Trump supporter who was found guilty of disregarding a court order to stop participating in racial profiling in order to enforce illegal immigration laws.
It is unclear when the pardon would take place, but during Tuesday's rally, Trump stated, “I'll make a prediction. I think he's going to be just fine.”
