A Dallas Cowboys viewing party was supposed to be a night of celebration after weeks of bad news for the state of Texas. Instead, it was a violent end to eight people's lives.

During the Sunday evening game being shown at a Dallas suburban home, a dispute turned into a chilling murder. A Fox affiliate reported:

A witness says that he heard “30 or 40 gunshots” coming from inside the house:

Another witness, Crystal Suggs, gave an account:

“I seen a man argue with a woman. They were standing outside and they’re arguing,” Suggs told Fox 4.

“The argument was about a good ten minutes,” she elaborated. ”You could hear it getting really really loud. You could tell it was getting disturbing, like there was something about to happen. It caused people to come outside."

Suggs continued to give her account of what happened at the Plano, Texas, residence.

“The woman was trying to go back in and as she was going back in the house you seen the man pull out his gun and starting just releasing,” she continued. “He just started letting them go. It was an automatic. You could hear it go off multiple times, you could hear it just ring off.”

“I heard a lot of screaming,” she said. “A lot, a lot of screaming … Nobody was running … All you heard was just shooting. Just shooting. Just boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.”

A Plano police officer shot and killed the suspect, according to Fox 4. Two people were injured, in addition to the eight people killed.

All victims were said to be adults and police are still determining a motive.
