After the release of Hillary Clinton's book, “What Happened,” on Tuesday, an unexpected author's sales boomed on Amazon. That author happened to be Hillary Clinton's biggest enemy in the 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump.
Amazon describes their Movers & Shakers list as:
The biggest gainers in sales rank compared to twenty-four hours ago. For example, if a music item has a current sales rank of 10, but was ranked 30 twenty-four hours ago, its Movers & Shakers increase would be 200%.
On this list, Donald Trump has three books in the top 15, including the No. 1 and No. 2 slots, while Hillary Clinton's brand-new book is sitting at No. 26.
Even though “Great Again: How to Fix Our Crippled America” was released in July 2016, it is booming in sales at the No. 1 slot with an increase of 103,891 percent, bumping it from No. 12,479 in sales to No. 12.
At the No. 2 slot sits another book by Donald Trump, which was released in November 2015, titled, “Crippled America: How to Make America Great Again.” It has increased by 30,347 percent, bumping it from rank No. 31,056 in sales to No. 102.
Then at the No. 14 slot is Trump's book that was published in October 2015, “Trump: The Art of the Deal.” This bumped up by 751 percent from sales rank No. 1,396 to No. 164.
And then, of course, there's Hillary Clinton's book, “What Happened,” sitting at No. 26 with an increase of 160 percent, going from No. 749 to No. 287.
Hillary Clinton opened book sales on Tuesday with a 40 percent slash on prices on both Amazon and at Walmart.
