Hillary Clinton appeared on NBC’s “Today” on Wednesday to tell America once and for all that her 2016 election loss to Donald Trump was not her fault at all.
Host Matt Lauer bluntly asked Clinton, “Did you make enough mistakes to lose the election without of the other things you talk about?”
Here’s how she responded:
“I would say no, Matt. I don’t think that will surprise you. But, you know, also this book has a lot of behind the scenes look at what it’s like to run for president, particularly again, as a woman. So it’s not all the sad side or the disappointment that obviously came because we lost, and especially somewhat bitterly because we won the popular vote so significantly.”
Clinton went on to urge the press to do some introspection on how it covered the first “reality TV candidate,” seemingly suggesting they weren't tough enough on the Republican or they covered him too much.
While promoting her new memoir, “What Happened,” Clinton has blamed former FBI Director James Comey, the media, sexism, Bernie Sanders, and so much more for her loss.
