Hillary Clinton is doing a round of press for her new book “What Happened.” The failed 2016 candidate stopped by “The View” Wednesday morning to hawk the book and polish her image.
Clinton was asked directly to respond to the savaging her book received yesterday from the White House press podium. When Press Secretary Sarah Sanders was asked if Trump would read the book, she responded:
"Whether or not he's going to read Hillary Clinton's book, I'm not sure. But I would think that he's pretty well-versed on what happened. And I think it's pretty clear to all of America.
I think it's sad that after Hillary Clinton ran one of the most negative campaigns in history and lost and the last chapter of her public life is going to be now defined by propping up book sales with false and reckless attacks. And I think that that's a sad way for her to continue."
Hillary laughed off the comment on “The View” and took a shot at Sanders, saying she does not pay “attention” to Sanders and the information from the White House is not trustworthy.
“I honestly don’t pay much attention to what she says. I think unfortunately — and I don’t say this with any kind of glee, I'm sad about it, we’re not getting the kind of information from this White House that we should have, whether you agree or disagree, whatever your party affiliation might be."
