Dana Loesch, a spokeswoman for the National Rifle Association, said she and her family are having to move because multiple death threats have made their current location untenable.

The conservative commentator and radio host announced the decision to move via Twitter on Sunday night. In a lengthy tweet thread, Loesch said she spent the weekend “preparing to move due to repeated threats from gun control advocates”:

In one threat, the NRA flack said a man “hunted down” her cellphone number and called it while police were at her home and “threatened to shoot me in my front yard,” while another who stalked her on social media posted photos of her house online and “threatened to rape me to death.”

Loesch said some have threatened her children, too:

The conservative firebrand's tweetstorm came after Hollywood star Alyssa Milano took to social media Sunday afternoon, asking women to share their stories of sexual assault and harassment using the hashtag #MeToo.

The Twitter trend arose in the wake of the numerous assault and harassment allegations — including rape claims — against disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein.

Loesch sought to raise awareness about the numerous conservative women who face discrimination, harassment, and violent threats simply because of their political leanings:

In today's society, she claimed, “only non-conservative women deserve respect,” later adding that if liberals really cared about equality, “they'd defend, not shame, women for making choices antithetical [to] progressivism.”

Interestingly, Loesch found an unlikely ally Sunday night in Chelsea Clinton, who is most certainly at odds with the NRA spokeswoman on just about every issue under the sun.

Clinton called Loesch's situation “awful” and “unacceptable”:

Others, though, like gun control advocate Shannon Watts, suggested Loesch's tweet thread was nothing more than an elaborate scheme to urge women to buy guns:

Loesch did not immediately return Independent Journal Review's request for comment.
