New York City faced an act of terrorism once again Tuesday when eight people were mowed down on a bike path after a deranged man in a rented pickup truck drove into them.

Of the eight victims killed, five were from Argentina celebrating the 30th anniversary of their high school graduation in the Big Apple.

And now, a cellphone video showing the group riding bikes on the path has just been released, The New York Post reports.

The smiling friends are shown cruising the path on a beautiful day.

Heartbreakingly, a number of the men killed were carrying souvenirs that they had intended to bring back to their families.

The footage was captured by Ariel Benvenuto, one of the survivors of the gruesome attack.

As the New York Post points out, it's unclear if the footage was taken on the same day of the attack.

The suspect involved has since been identified as 29-year-old Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov. He reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the attack, and a note has been found linking him to ISIS.

According to CNN, following the cowardly attack, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said:

“This was an act of terror, and a particularly cowardly act of terror aimed at innocent civilians, aimed at people going about their lives who had no idea what was about to hit them.”
