Despite false rumors that Joe Biden was going to run in the 2016 presidential election, it appears as though fans of his might be about to get their hopes up once again.

During Friday's segment of “Morning Joe,” MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch stated a source close to Biden said if the former vice president is healthy, he'll be running in 2020, per Mediaite.

And Deutsch couldn't have made it any clearer, stating:

“I spoke to someone close to Biden, [who] said if he’s healthy, he’s going for it in 2020.”

While Biden has yet to personally announce his presidential candidacy, there has been speculation he's not down for the count. During an interview this week with Oprah Winfrey, he said he regretted not running in 2016:

Meanwhile, an article from Politico detailed how Biden doesn't want Trump in office another term.

Politico’s Edward-Isaac Dovere wrote:

Joe Biden thinks it’s critical that Donald Trump not get a second term — and though it’s early, he doesn’t yet see anyone else who could stop that from happening. So, he’s been telling people privately, that might mean he’ll just have to run himself.

Time will tell.
