The wife of the man who murdered 49 people at an Orlando gay nightclub has been ordered to stand trial in March for giving “material support” to a “terrorist organization” — ISIS.
Omar Mateen armed himself and burst into the Pulse nightclub, murdering 49 people and wounding 58.
Fox News reported that the night before the attack, Noor Salman went with her husband to buy ammo for the attack:
Noor Salman, the wife of the Orlando nightclub gunman Omar Mateen, shopped with her husband at a Walmart the night before the massacre where he bought five containers of ammunition, a source close to the investigation told FoxNews.com on Tuesday, shining new light on what the widow may have known.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that Salman is charged with providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization, obstruction of justice, and destruction of records:
The latest legal machinations confirm again that the shooting was a terrorist attack against a western gay nightclub and not because any of the other, numerous suggestions for why the attack took place.
Mateen told officers several times during hostage negotiations that he was working on behalf of ISIS.
Mateen was shot eight times by law enforcement during a standoff:
Salman sought to move her trial from Orlando, but the judge said no and scheduled it for March 1.
The federal indictment also seeks to forfeit $30.5 million from the woman for the crime. As Independent Journal Review previously reported, Salman has sought taxpayer help for her legal fees.
