Donald Trump is very, very concerned about the health of John McCain after the Arizona senator's weekend surgery. Sure, the two men haven't always gotten along, but the longer McCain is out, the longer Trump has to go without taking away health insurance from millions of Americans, and that makes him very, very sad:
We hope John McCain gets better very soon. Because we miss him. He's a crusty voice in Washington. Plus, we need his vote.
Then, the crowd laughed, because nothing makes a roomful of American business people happier than the prospect of a bill, the Better Care Reconciliation Act, that will cut their taxes. The fact that millions of their fellow countrymen will lose health insurance and hundreds of thousands will unnecessarily die is a nice bonus as well!
Suddenly, Donald Trump has a use for the former POW he didn't used to like because he only likes war heroes who don't get captured. Or who successfully avoided contracting venereal diseases while sleeping with anything that moved in Studio 54 in the early 1970s, which Trump has called his own “personal Vietnam.”
We hope John McCain hurries back just to announce he will vote “No” on the BCRA and prevent it from passing the Senate. That would be justice for today's spectacle.
