The best revenge is living well.
After rejecting at least a $20 million contract, Trump nemesis Megyn Kelly is taking the money and running—to notorious left-wing outlet NBC.
Kelly left a Facebook post following the announcement that she is through with Fox News:
No one failed to miss that Kelly left off Roger Ailes, while leaving a generous plug for her upcoming gig. Kelly joined departed host Gretchen Carlson in making sexual harassment allegations against Ailes, and she will also follow Greta Van Susteren in leaving the network.
Megyn Kelly has been the target of intense criticism for defying and taking shots at Donald Trump. The president-elect, for his part, has not held back in his own criticism of Kelly.
After Kelly's statement on Facebook and Twitter, the animosity from her most fierce detractors wasn't restrained. (Reader discretion advised.)
Her detractors unloaded on her online:
While others congratulated Kelly and said that she did the right thing:
Fox News released a statement about Kelly's departure and laid out her last show at the network. As reported by Us Weekly:
"We hope she enjoys tremendous success in her career and wish her and her family all the best.” The network also announced that Kelly will be hosting The Kelly File through Friday, January 6.
In 2017, both Megyn Kelly and the ardent Trump fans at Fox News can look forward to a new year that should make them both happier: Life free from each other.
