Outgoing DNC Chair Donna Brazile Comes Clean with Democrat Voters: "We Failed You"

Following Hillary Clinton's “shocking” loss to Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election, Democrat excuses came fast and furious — and continue to come — immediately.

It was FBI Director James Comey's fault. Vladimir Putin and Russian hackers were to blame. WikiLeaks. Fox News. Rush Limbaugh. The so-called “alt-right.” The list goes on.

Setting aside the possibility that Hillary was simply a lousy candidate who ran a lousy campaign, outgoing interim Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile apologized to a group of Democrat supporters, Saturday. “We failed you,” she said.

Speaking at one of a series of DNC “Future Forum” meetings in Phoenix, Brazile didn't “sugarcoat it,” as reported by The Washington Post.

“I'm not going to sugarcoat it: We failed. We made some serious mistakes and some strategic errors.

We got cocky about our invincible blue wall, and then we saw it crumble because of just a few thousand votes in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.”

The Clinton campaign was roundly criticized for having not spent enough time campaigning in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin—even by its own staffers.

Back to Donna Brazile.

Ironically, actions by Brazile herself were part of the failure of which she spoke. After it was revealed by WikiLeaks that she had provided debate questions in advance to Hillary — twice — CNN, where she had formerly been a regular contributor, cut her loose.

Termination of the relationship didn't go unnoticed by Wiki:

Speaking of WikiLeaks and Brazile getting busted, she also blamed the “hostile attack” by “an army of trolls” for Hillary's loss, during her remarks.

“If you are an American, you are a victim of a hostile attack, a murderous dictator who wanted to affect the election. They hired an army of trolls to spread lies and distract from the real issues.”

And so it goes.

While Democrats across America continue to grapple with the “horrific” fact that, come Friday, Donald J. Trump will become the 45th President of the United States of America, at least Donna Brazile admits that “cockiness” led to his win.

Then again, so did a “murderous dictator” and “an army of trolls.”
