obama dreamers

The President met with members of Congress from his own party on Wednesday to discuss immigration reform, and according to lawmakers, Obama was clear in his message - I'm not backing down on easing deportations.

The Huffington Post reports that members of the Hispanic Caucus asked the President to protect a law in 2008 that prevents young immigrants from being deported. They also asked him to bring “relief” for the millions of undocumented people already in the country.

As reports estimate that between 57,000 and 60,000 people have illegally crossed the border, Americans have ramped up their call to secure the border and send illegals back to their home countries.

But one lawmaker told HuffPo that instead of clamping down on those that break our laws, the President wants to make life easier for them.

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) paraphrased Obama as saying, “I want to be as broad as I can be. I want to be as generous as the law will allow me to be.”

The President either doesn't care about their opinions, or he isn't listening to the American citizens living at the border or the people whose communities are suddenly receiving illegal immigrants - sometimes even without their knowledge.
