Glu Mobile, a maker of digital apps and online games, announced a record-breaking third quarter today. And why did this previously-unknown company rake in so much dough last quarter? Because of its wildly-popular Kim Kardashian-themed mobile game.
“Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” a free download which lets players buy virtual goodies, has generated $43.3 million in sales since its launch on June 27.

Some other jaw-dropping numbers: “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” has been downloaded more than 22.8 million times. And users have spent a combined 5.7 billion minutes (which comes out to more than 11,400 years) playing the game itself.
