Jake Tapper, host of CNN's “The Lead” as well as the Sunday talk show “State of the Union,” noticed a veteran holding a sign on a street corner in Philadelphia Monday morning.

Tapper tweeted out the image along with the Twitter handles for a number of congressmen, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Philadelphia VA facility:

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) quickly responded, telling Tapper that his office was getting to work:

Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-GA), who heads the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs, was also prompted to respond:

Tapper ultimately replied back, once it looked like help would happen:

Tapper gets results.
