The case of the murder of JonBenét Ramsey has baffled Americans for decades.
Photos of JonBenét at child beauty pageants were plastered all over tabloids after her father found her body, strangled and beaten to death, in the family basement.
The innocent 6-year-old was killed nearly 20 years ago, and the case still remains unsolved.
Was it her parents? Was it her brother, whom the duo shielded from press and scrutiny?
Will we ever know who ended JonBenét Ramsey's life?
Maybe, if a new CBS show has its say.
The network is reopening the case and airing a six-part series called “The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey.”
Here is a trailer:
It looks like CBS spared no detail in their quest to solve Ramsey's murder.
The show's producers rebuilt the original Ramsey home, chased down old suspects, and even interviewed the 911 operator who took that fateful call on December 26th, 1996.
Additionally, the show will be stocked with case experts, each giving their unique viewpoints as to who had motive and opportunity to commit the infamous murder.
Of course, the network hasn't announced if they actually solved the murder during the course of their show. For that, you'll have to just tune in.
“The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey” will air on CBS nightly, beginning September 18th.
Also, later this year, Lifetime is airing a dramatic movie about the case, featuring actors Payton Lepinski, Michel Gill and Julia Campbell playing Ramsey and her parents.
It is simply titled “Who Killed JonBenét?”
That's not all. Investigation Discovery will bring us a three-night event series in order to acknowledge the 20th anniversary of her death.
This take on the tragic events surrounding the Ramsey family will start on September 12th.
