Former Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina has never been a fan of Donald Trump.
After the former Hewlett-Packard CEO dropped out of the race and endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), she told Cruz supporters in March:
“There are people in our party who are actually kind of horrified by Donald Trump. I'm one of them. We're going to have to beat Donald Trump at the ballot box. And the only guy who can beat Donald Trump is Ted Cruz.”
Even in June, a defiant Fiorina was still not stumping for Trump.
Her spokesperson, Sarah Isgur Flores, told the Washington Examiner she was focusing on helping Sens. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Pat Toomey (R-PA) with their campaigns instead.
Now, just 55 days before election day, Carly Fiorina has finally expressed publicly her support for her party's nominee.
According to the Washington State Republican Party's Twitter account, Fiorina reportedly told members at their fall dinner:
“We must have President Trump — we can't have President Clinton.”
Fiorina has yet to announce her official endorsement of Trump, but she has stayed on message by slamming his rival, Hillary Clinton.
Fiorina joins the list of countless other Republicans who once denounced Trump but later changed their tune.
