Celebrities are regularly subjected to criticism and trolling when they use their social media. But celebrity mom Halle Berry hit back with style when one of her fans had a problem with how Berry crops pictures of her children.

Berry hides the faces of her children when sharing pictures of them on social media. It is a practice even some non-celebrities utilize for the sake of their children's privacy.

But the fan had other ideas about why Berry made that choice and said so on a post of Berry's showing her children in t-shirts with inspirational phrases on them.

Although candyaplz10 deleted her comment, others had screenshots of it which they shared. Candyaplz10 then added the screenshot to her own Instagram feed:

It reads:

What's with the hiding of the faces? They're beautiful children why not show them off.

Halle's response, lauded by many, makes it very clear that the comment was not going to stand:

It reads:

"I've noticed you have said this several times now so let me be clear— I'm not at all ashamed of children. I try to find creative ways to incorporate them into my feed because they are the biggest part of my life, but I also work very hard to keep their identities as private as I can considering they are only children.

It's my belief, and I'm not criticizing others who have different beliefs, that it's my job as their mother to protect their privacy as best I can. When they grow and they're of age and they want share their images on the internet, that will be for them to decide, not me. Feel me? Have a beautiful day."

Us Weekly writes that the fan later responded, saying that she believed Berry didn't “think badly” of her for her comment; if Berry had, she would have been blocked. She also included a jab at others who had criticized her for her first remark, stating that she loved Berry more than they did since she wanted to see more of Berry. That comment, too, has since been deleted.
