Hillary Clinton campaign chairman and longtime Democratic adviser John Podesta wrote in an email that he would have preferred the San Bernardino terrorist not have a Muslim name.

According to one of the illegally hacked emails dumped Sunday morning by WikiLeaks, Podesta wrote to Clinton campaign spokeswoman Karen Finney that he wished the shooter bore the name of MSNBC anchor Christopher Hayes:

“Better if a guy named Sayeed Farouk was reporting that a guy named Christopher Hayes was the shooter.”

The email came after a Clinton staffer sent a link to Hayes' tweet reporting the initial news of the terrorist's identity.

Podesta's emails, which were illegally obtained by an outside actor, have been periodically leaked by WikiLeaks over the past several days.
