Hillary Clinton's health has been an issue since December, 2012 — when she fainted and suffered a serious concussion. Her latest 'episode' came during the 9/11 memorial event when her knees buckled and she nearly fainted as aides assisted her to a waiting vehicle.
Throughout it all, Hillary has steadfastly claimed she's “healthy and fit to serve,” as she recently quoted her personal physician.
But according to the latest WikiLeaks dump, top campaign officials anxiously called Hillary's health a 'hyper sensitive issue' — months before she announced her candidacy.
In a March, 2015 email, campaign manager Robby Mook acknowledged his concern to campaign chairman John Podesta:
“Have you talked with her at all about taxes and health?” he says. I’m [sic] know both are hyper sensitive but I wonder if both are better dealt with very early so we control them—rather than responding to calls for transparency.”
In a July, 2015 email thread, Director of Speech Writing Dan Schwerin suggested article headlines that would accompany the release of a letter from Hillary's doctor.
“We expect the stories that pop at 2 pm to have headlines such as ‘CLINTON IN ‘EXCELLENT HEALTH,’ MEDICAL RECORDS SAY’ … ‘CLINTON RELEASES HEALTH REPORT’ … ‘CLINTON CAMP AIMS TO ONE-UP BUSH IN DISCLOSING FINANCES’.”
So appear to be 'proactively transparent' and get out a few killer headlines, so as to be able to avoid being truly transparent down the road?
Call it what you will; it was (and remains) a concerted effort by Hillary and her concerned staff to control the narrative about her health — to keep it from controlling them.
