NEW YORK — Omarosa Manigault, a surrogate of Donald Trump and former contestant on the reality television show “The Apprentice,” said the GOP presidential nominee will keep a list of Republicans who vote against him.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) announced Tuesday on Twitter that he cast his ballot in the Palmetto state for Independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin.
At Trump's election night party at the Midtown Hilton Hotel in New York, Omarosa told Independent Journal Review that “it’s so great our enemies are making themselves clear so that when we get in to the White House, we know where we stand,” adding:
“If [Graham] felt his interests was with that candidate, God bless him. I would never judge anybody for exercising their right to and the freedom to choose who they want. But let me just tell you, Mr. Trump has a long memory and we’re keeping a list.”
Graham's decision to not endorse Trump has been known for quite some time. But his final act of voting for another candidate officially broke his pledge that all of the original 17 Republican presidential candidates signed.
Manigault said that Graham's act of breaking the pledged did not bother her “because most of them have broke the pledge,” adding:
“Isn’t it embarrassing that Donald Trump stood up there, remember all the candidates standing there and they asked all of them ‘raise your hand if you’re going to support the person or not.’”
“Donald was the only one that was honest,” Manigault said. “At least they should have been honest.”
