Filmmaker Michael Moore recently took to Twitter to pledge his allegiance to the upcoming Disrupt the Inauguration protest.

Moore outlined his plans in an email to The Hollywood Reporter. He wrote:

“If by some awful happenstance Trump shows up to be sworn in on January 20th, I will be there helping lead the national protest and non-violently disrupting the Inauguration of a man no one other than the electoral college elected...”

While it may be difficult for Moore to imagine that anyone “other than the electoral college” voted for President-elect Donald Trump, it doesn't mean it's true.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, but the New York Times reported that 49 percent of American voters went to the polls and pushed the button for Trump.

The 62,821,935 people “other than the electoral college” selected Donald Trump as our next president.

Michael Moore's email speculated on whether the protest would even be necessary:

“The question assumes [Trump] will be inaugurated...”

However, he also gave Americans a resolute call to action:

“This impending disaster requires everyone to get involved now — all hands on deck! This is not a drill!”

Moore, who predicted the Trump victory, seems unsure if the best course of action is to belittle the validity of Trump's inauguration or rally the troops.
