French Officials Open Counter Terrorism Investigation After Driver Slams Into Police Car

CNN has reported that the suspect involved in the crash as died and that authorities are investigating the situation as an act of terrorism.

The car the attacker was driving contained a large amount of explosives as well as many weapons.

The French Parliament will now consider extending France’s state of emergency.

CNN reports that President Emanuel Macron will be reviewing Frances security and intelligence forces.


A driver has been arrested in France for ramming his vehicle into a police car, CBS News reports.

According to ABC News, no one was injured in the crash that took place on the Champs-Élysées.
