Donald Trump Jr. has released the much-reported-on email thread between himself and Rob Goldstone.

Released to the public via Twitter late Tuesday morning, Trump Jr. also included a statement about his decision to share the emails, as well as a doubling-down on their innocuous nature.

“To everyone, in order to be totally transparent, I am releasing the entire email chain of my emails with Rob Goldstone about the meeting on June 9, 2016,” Trump Jr. said in his statement.

He would go on to say that the email, while from Goldstone, was relating a request from someone named Emin, whom he had met while in Russia for the 2013 Miss Universe Pageant.

According to Trump Jr., Emin and his father, who “have a highly respected company in Moscow,” alleged to have information about Hillary Clinton. For his part, however, Trump Jr. thought said information was “Political Opposition Outreach.”

When a phone meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya was not possible, Trump Jr. was made aware of her presence in New York City, and a meeting was arranged. From there, the president's son alleges that “she had no information” to provide and instead was looking to discuss the Magnitsky Act.

As to the contents of the emails, at one point Mr. Goldstone says, “Emin just called and asked me to contact you with something very interesting.”

He continued, on June 3, saying, “The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.”

In the same email, Goldstone continued: “This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump.”

Additionally, Goldstone claimed toward the end of the email that he “can also send this info to [Donald Trump Sr.] via Rhona, but it's ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first.”

In response, Trump Jr. says, “...if it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer.”

Of note, however, is the fact that Trump Jr. forwarded the email chain to both Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner ahead of the meeting.
